5 liter and 3 liter puzzle :
Puzzle 1: We will start with simple water measurement puzzle. Measure 2 liters of water from 5 liter and 3 liter water jug. we have unlimited source of water.
Solution: This is pretty simple.
Step 1: Fill 5 liter water jug and empty it into 3 liters water jug.
Step 2: Solved! 5 liter water jug will remain with 2 liter water.
Logic:
5 - 3 = 2
Puzzle 2: Measure 1 Liter of water from 5 liter and 3 liter water jug.
Solution:
Step 1: Fill 5 liter water jug and empty 3 liter into 3 liter water jug.
Step 2: Empty 3 liter water jug. Now 5 liter jug is containing 2 liter water.
Step 3: Put 2 liter water from 5 liter water jug into 3 liter water jug.
Step 4: Fill 5 liter water jug again and put 1 liter water into 3 liter water jug. So that 5 liter jug contain 4 liter water.
Step 5: Empty 3 liter water jug. Put 3 liter water from 5 liter water jug into 3 liter water jug.
Step 6: Solved! Now 5 liter water jug contains 1 liter water.
Logic:
(5 * 2) - (3 * 3) = 1
Which means fill 5 liter water jug 2 times and empty it into 3 liter water jug 3 times, you will arrive with your answer.
5 - 3 = 2
Puzzle 2: Measure 1 Liter of water from 5 liter and 3 liter water jug.
Step 1: Fill 5 liter water jug and empty 3 liter into 3 liter water jug.
Step 2: Empty 3 liter water jug. Now 5 liter jug is containing 2 liter water.
